Howto change the mousecursor?

Install gcursor for managing what the curosr looks like.
(After install it will be on the System > Preferences menu as "Cursor
Selection")
Whiteglass might be a good theme for your purposes, but it's not
transparent. If you find a suitable theme, please let me know!

Also, you might be interested in unclutter; this hides your mouse cursor
when not in use. Command line, no gui that I could find.
