Howto change the mousecursor?

Hi all!

I remembered another question that occured yesterday during setting up 
my vj account. Is there a way to change the mousecourser in Gnome. So 
what I think about is a transparent mousecursor, so it doesn't disturb 
the picture in xaos, in which you navigate using the mouse. So it 
shouldn't be completeley transperant, but like a dimmed glass or something.
