Some of Minolta cameras are supported by Gphoto2:
>gphoto2 --list-cameras|grep Minolta

What happens if you plug in your camera and run "ghoto2 --auto-detect"?
Also, sometimes even if your specific camera isn't listed, using the
driver for another camera in that family will work. See man gphoto2 for
details.
