Mozilla stops respoding with certificate window

I dont think it is that they pop up in the bottom necessarily, I think
it is just that I am swapping desktops and windows so fast on a regular
basis that it will show up somewhere I am no longer looking. Because it
occurs so rarely I sometimes forget to look for the notification. It
really sucks because all firefox windows on all desktops stop responding
but no notification is given to me when I foolishly try to use them. It
would be nice if either other windows could continue to operate, OR,
every window showed a notification of why it was useless at the moment.
I like the first option the best! I dont understand why all windows of
firefox should be dependant upon the current condition of one particular
window.
