Thanks Todd.  Lot's of good links to dig through.  It's an honourable goal for 
the Ubuntu team to aspire to and I look forward to them being successful.  In 
the meantime, I've managed to convince "those who sign the cheques" that the 
IPW2200 is worth the extra $$$ so everything else should just work.

I'll post back my experiences once the new lappy is here :)
