Accessibility in Ubuntu - Screen Magnifier

I haven't tried it personally and I don't know if it's included in the
live cd.  But in a installed ubuntu warty you can go to Computer ->
Desktop Preference -> Assistive Technology Preferences.

There you can choose "enable" and then "start the .... every thime you
log in: Magnifier".

However, also read the text on the bottom, you must have the
"gnopernicus" package installed. You also seem to need to logout and
log back in again.
