I'd recommend the Palm Treo 650 too when its widely available.

You'll see from my site listed in my sig (http://www.planetnz.com/palmheads)
I've got a site all about integrating Palm's with Linux etc. My Palm is a
Tungsten W (no longer made), and the Treo 650 is orders of magnitude better. I
currently (obviously) also use ubuntu, and have no issues synching. I've got
mine working with Bluetooth thanks to a SD bluetooth card which also is no
longer produced. The Tungsten W is a good 2+ years old.

Only issue would be pilot-link, the toolset that Evolution, J-Pilot etc use for
synching. Understandably there is a delay sometimes between new devices being
released, & pilot-link being able to support them.

Apart from that, Palm's & Linux work great together!

cheers
