Well yes I guess so. But I have never used the Knoppix thing (not the
Gnome tools either...), so I can't really compare one with the other, I
was just making a suggestion to help.
At least, you have got the funstionnality ready in Warty, so the most
important is there. Now, if you are critical and prefer to use some
other program, then it's a Gnome or at least Gtk2 program, I assume it
should work very well in Ubuntu ?
I can't help more than that I am afraid, hopefully some more
knowledgeable people will put their hands up to help you out...
I have not tried the "remote desktop" feature in Gnome, as I don't have
broadband (stuck with 64Kbps for the past 2 years ! :-/ ), but my ISP
just told me that no later than Tuesday (Feb. 1st), they will speed that
up to 1024Kbps for the same price ! :o) So once I have 1024K, I will
spend hours playing with that remote desktop gnome program, and also try
voice over IP, and listen to only radios, and download lots of bog
programs from synpatic, and big this and big that, and try sharing files
over NFS with a friend who is a few miles away and using Linux too.
Ohhhh, Broadband is so marvelous, it should be free !!! :o)))
