Strange error when trying to install deb files of OpenOffice 1.9.73

Hello!

Im trying to install some deb files made by a french OOo developer and i 
get a wierd error when trying to install the openoffice-core package:

insuficient read in buffer_copy (error in dpkg-deb during 
`./opt/openoffice.org1.9.73/share/template/fr/wizard/letter/zh-TW/bus-office_l.ott

(I've translated the error from spanish)

I downloaded the packages from:

http://ooo.lab-project.net/~ebachard/Linux_Intel/2.0/deb

And Im using Ubuntu Hoary in a centrino.

Anyone knows why the error happens????

PS:
I know that it is possible to download and install OOo 1.9.66 from 
ubuntu's apt repositories since today... but i would like to discover 
why that error happens to tell the developer.
