repeat: sharing problem

Hi,
I posted this question more than a week back but nobody answered, so 
I am reposting it.
When I try to access my doc files (especially) in my other machine
say ->
sun-test/d/my documents/resu/french/design in oct/design for test.doc
I get an access error which says the file does not exist.
The file does exist and does have proper permissions to access. I can
access that file with my Xandros machine easily. What is wrong? I
am trying to access this through Gnome-> Netowork icon in default
installation.
