Many thanks for saving my rear end on that issue!!!
BTW, in a similar vein, when I upgrade packages in
Synaptic (default repositories plus universal,
marillat and some belgian repository for media
codecs), using the default method a file called
linux-image-2.6-386 and one called
linux-restricted-modules-2.6-386 get flagged as not to
be upgraded. Should they be upgraded and how would I
go about doing it without creating problems for my
system?
