some ideas for hoary

just a couple of little things that i would find useful

including software to deal with raw digital camera photos. dcraw is in universe but it is only the command line converter. the gimp plugin and an add on the the photo importing script would be cool.

a more useful message if you try to unmount a disk thats in use. even if i close the all the nautilus windows the disk is use. i double many newbie well know to grep lsof. and when they do and find out that famd is using the disk what are they supposed to do.

ps: what does famd do? i know its something to do with monitoring disks for changes or something. do i need it? what apps require it to be running?
