HP deskjet 3745 info needed

Well, that was 1997 :-) Today, HP officially runs several projects on
SourceForge which release drivers licensed under BSD or GPL. I respect
that tremendously, and choice of HP was largely based on that. I was
able to set up my older HP printer (very old, not really very usable
anymore -- I think in fact it may have been one of the 720-series
models) using only GUI tools in Ubuntu. I was pretty amazed! So I'm
looking forward to trying out this new one. Hopefully, the USB
interface won't pose a problem. My experience with printers under Linux
is extremely limited, but it seems easy enough to set up these days,
especially when the drivers are free (which means hopefully they are
included with Ubuntu).
