Yes I know, but when compiling XFCE through the installer it ships
with, you have to specify via an option if you want it to eneble the
composite manager buit into XFCE in order to render the drop shadowns
etc - it then enables the eye candy if the composite extention loads.
Is the composite manager enabled in the deb version. --- or am I
barking up the wrong tree?
