Evolution and disk activity going nuts..

For some reason whenever I do _anything_ that involves the calendar I
get massive amounts of disk activity that doesn't seem to stop for at
least 20 min's, sometimes longer.

Being on a laptop makes it run like a an absolute pig until I do a
"evolution --force-shutdown"

umm the only other thing I can think of that would be of interest is
that I am running the exchange connector..

any idea's how I can fix it?
