Arabic support in Firefox..

Hi. 

One of the people I've helped install Ubuntu for can read arabic and
would like to have the pages viewed properly when there are arabic
fonts. 

But unfortunately it looks like this:

On my own Debian installation it looks correct:
http://home.krogh.cc/~jesper/ar.wikipedia.org.png (Debian)

Any idea why the fonts look "pale"?

I'd also like to hear from others experience with the the arabic font
support. Do you get something like the top one on yours Ubuntu
installation? (It could be this particular Ubuntu-installtions that's
broken).
