Fwd: Places Menu, Firefox, and FTP "Network Servers"

Hi folks. I (absent-mindedly) emailed to ubuntu-devel for a possible
bug in opening previously saved ftp connections via the Places menu in
Hoary. By default it opens in firefox. But, by feel, it should open in
Nautilus these days since Nautilus is used now for file transfer via
network, not just local.

I wasn't able to find a bug report on this, until a few minutes ago here:
https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1550

Anyway, if you've been annoyed by this small detail, the solution is
quite simple. It was given to me by Julien Olivier (the original bug
reporter!) and I forward it below.

   Hi Dexter !

I see the same problem here, and I found a workaround to it:
    - Fire up gconf-editor
    - Go to desktop -> gnome -> url-handlers -> ftp
    - Put the following in the "command" field: nautilus --no-desktop %s

Then restart the panel using: killall gnome-panel

And now ftp links open in Nautilus instead of Firefox (at least for
   me:)).

Feel free to forward this email to ubuntu-users if that worked for you.

   Cheers !

Hope this helps others. One note is that I didn't have to killall
gnome-panel, but your mileage may vary. =)
