changing resolution without screen

David's concise manner confused me and I thought he was referring to
FireFox's way of changing browser-text size. But Ulrich was kind enough to
add some explanations which made me consider what I was reading. Furhtermore
Vincent's and Antonio's encouraging manner sure make this an attractive
place to ask questions. Thanks all the same David, I'm learning the short
forum language! :)

Pressing Ctrl -  several times brought me to where I could enter my uid &
passw (merci Monsieur!) but then the whole desktop became brown. I
eventually realized that I could push the desktop up/down taking the mouse
cursor to the edge of the screen.

I hope this is my last post from WinXP (arrrgh!) and I'll be able to set up
the browsers and mail/news reader without problem.
