No we don't know what people like. Even though I'm no great fan of
"pluralities" this is a situation where it makes sense. There are a
lot of lurkers (who aren't affected by reply-to-sender except for this
thread), and users who don't care either way but it seems there are a
number of people who are irritated by reply-to-sender and (my
perception) fewer still who are married to reply-to-sender. Those who
*like* reply-to-sender/reply-to-list to be separate won't really be
affected by a change to reply-to-list as the default (unless they
carry on a *lot* of public-private conversations).
A poll will give us a sense of what is desired by those who care (not
a great way to run a 'democratic' process as can be seen by the
dysfunction in one particular rogue nation but for something as
pointless as reply-to-list vs reply-to-sender it'll suffice)

Fortunately my e-mailer stacks _all_ these responses on top of each
other so I only see _one_ entry regardless of the amount of hot air
that gets spilled on the topic.
