That's certainly been part of my philosophy with Vim and it has paid
dividends. I've not only got a great tool for all sorts of text editing
needs (web pages but also all sorts of other things) but I've also got
knowledge I can use when linked across to legacy Unix servers where vi
is all they've got to edit files.
