(OT) Compiling tomboy on Ubuntu

Has anyone successfully compiled tomboy on Ubuntu? If so, could you give 
me an idea how. I'm not very familiar with the linux build tools. In the 
past I've just done './configure' then 'make' and 'make install' but the 
tomboy source doesn't include a 'configure'. I have run it's autogen.sh, 
but that throws an error.

I realise I probably should ask on the tomboy list, but I haven't yet 
managed to coax it's listserv into subscribing me.
