Not sure, what you mean by "non brocken utf-8 locales".
Orginially I installed the available locales (Warty) and had right from
the start some problems (I posted this already).
After experiencing display problems as recently posted I did:
1. dpkg-reconfigure locales
2. locale-gen
3. logout and in again
(no error messages are given)
to switch, no way locales stay with:
LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=
So, finally I start wondering that this locale issue is such an exiting
matter to deal with (i.e. can't remember that trouble while running
Sarge or SID, latter admittedly killed (hdparm)my system recently)
Anyway,
greetings
Thomas
