Mozilla Thunderbird

I just want to voice an opinion from a new-to-Linux & very average
user.

Mozilla & Mozilla Mail were the defaults on my XP for over 3 years &
were responsible for introducing me to the world of "free" software. In
general I have a very high regard for the products put forth by the
Mozilla foundation.

I have been Linux only now for about two weeks & my level of
satisfaction with the OS itself is of course largely dependant on
finding Linux replacements for all of the apps that I would use daily
in XP. (I'm not counting the great community or philosophical
"benefits" here either).

Upon moving to Ubuntu 64 I found Firefox not nearly as stable as I
would require in a default browser (replaced it with Mozilla) &
Thunderbird almost completely unstable.

Having Evolution as a readily available alternative was a great relief.
Although it's a bit more than I'm used to in terms of functionality I'm
already exploring & making use of a few of those features.

Whether or not Evolution remains the default email client makes little
difference to me. I only want to request that the Ubuntu developers
officially support both Evolution & Mozilla browser until Firefox &
Tbird reach an established level of stability for all users. Perhaps
close to their 2.x releases.

Thanks.
