via82cxxx is the IDE driver for the VIA chipset. It has nothing to do
with audio. via82cxxx_audio is the OSS/Free sound driver.
It sounds like you may be running up against an ACPI bug for your VIA
motherboard. Have you tried booting with "pci=noacpi" or "noapic"?
