Another point on this: None of the users on the PC (except for me) can
choose ESD. I'm the only one who can choose ESD as the default sink
and have the test work.  When others try to choose ESD, they get an
error message: Failed to construct a test pipeline to 'ESD'

Is there a permissions problem somewhere? Everyone is part of the
audio group (including myself).
