how to use WINE

if you want a recent wine, add this to your /etc/apt/sources.list :
(like described here : http://www.winehq.org/site/download-deb )

deb http://wine.sourceforge.net/apt/ binary/
deb-src http://wine.sourceforge.net/apt/ source/

apt-get update
and 
apt-get install wine

then run : winecfg

after that you can test it e.g. like this :
wine .wine/drive_c/windows/notepad.exe
