As I didn't know what those numbers were I ran Alibn's recommended defaults :-)

Then this was the result of the command:

behrang at Ubuntu:/etc/init.d $ sudo update-rc.d tomcat_5_0_28 defaults
 Adding system startup for /etc/init.d/tomcat_5_0_28 ...
   /etc/rc0.d/K20tomcat_5_0_28 -> ../init.d/tomcat_5_0_28
   /etc/rc1.d/K20tomcat_5_0_28 -> ../init.d/tomcat_5_0_28
   /etc/rc6.d/K20tomcat_5_0_28 -> ../init.d/tomcat_5_0_28
   /etc/rc2.d/S20tomcat_5_0_28 -> ../init.d/tomcat_5_0_28
   /etc/rc3.d/S20tomcat_5_0_28 -> ../init.d/tomcat_5_0_28
   /etc/rc4.d/S20tomcat_5_0_28 -> ../init.d/tomcat_5_0_28
   /etc/rc5.d/S20tomcat_5_0_28 -> ../init.d/tomcat_5_0_28

Then I killed all the running instances of Tomcat (It would be better
if I did this before update-rc.d) and executed ./tomcat_5_0_28 and it
started up as smoothly as possible :-) But I've not restarted my
system yet... try to do that later and I'll report if I encounter any
errors or not... (there're some downloads in progress :-)
