I would like to believe that Ubuntu (and all other GNU/Linux distro)
developers are very efficient bunch of people. And I trust their
judgement in prioritizing development of features.

Bugs, holes and security issues should be dealt with as soon as
possible. But besides that, I believe other things can wait. And if it
was that simple to implement I'm sure they could have done it now or
earlier.

As a developer they have more pride and love about Ubuntu than use
users. For sure, if possible, they would like it to be the best in all
aspect (secure and beautiful at the same time).
