Speed. G is faster, though if you primarily use the PCs to connect to
the internet through a router (on cable or DSL), you won't notice much
of a difference. B is already faster than most people's broadband
connection. If you're primarily connecting PCs together on the
internal LAN (terminal services, VNC or shuffling video or music
around), G may provide a noticeable improvement. Get G if you can (it
can't hurt) or B if you're on a very tight budget.

B provides a realistic throughput of 2.5 - 4Mbps
G provides 20 - 30Mbps, realistically.
