Lost my Desktop preferences !

Yes, all my Warty partitions are on the same hard drive

Yes. I can sucessfully change the wall paper, and the Key in G-conf is
updated. But it will be reset next time I log-in :o(

It's very weird :-/

I am trying to think of what I did recently. I installed VMware, created
a Win XP virtual machine, installed Dreamweaver on it, and shared my
home folder so that I can load my website. Maybe that screwed something
or upset Gnome in some way ?? :-/
