G5 Install Help Needed

Hi, downloaded and installed Hoary Array 3 Ubuntu linux on my G5s 2nd
hard drive. 1st drive has OS X and the 2nd drive I installed Ubuntu on
using the install-power4 selection. Install appears to have went fine
but when the installer spits out the install CD and states the system
will reboot and I will have more questions to answer for proper setup
of the system, my G5 boots to OS X again. So, I held down the option
key at boot and selected the new hard drive icon that was present that
has the penguin on it. I then get the text screen asking what I want
to boot. I am guess this is yaboot? Anyway, I hit the letter "L" on
my keyboard, the drive icons on the screen kinda get dull in color, the
time clock spins for about 2 minutes, then I stay on that exact OPTION
screen where it shows my OS X and new Linux drives. So, endless loop
and the only way to boot anything is to select the OS X drive so it
boots OS X.

My system is a G5, dual 2GHz, 1GB memory, 2 drives (the stock 160GB
running OS X) and the new Western Digital 120GB drive. So, how do I
get past this endless loop and boot into Linux?

I wonder if I need to disconnect the cables from my main OS X drive to
see if it boots that way but I need to be able to boot to both systems.

Any help would be great!

Thomas
