As simple as it is I would say two things, run the hoary liveCD and
try to harvest the wireless configs that worked for you, :) Then,
rather that move stuff around on your harddrive, make a new partition
to put stuff on if you need the space. Unlike windows there's no
reason to reinstall a Linux once you have things basically the way you
want. When you upgrade to Hoary is another story.
There seems to be a debate about which aproach is better, upgrading or
reinstalling. Reinstalling takes no effort, just time and loss of
data; upgrading means you need to follow the upgrade instructions on
the wiki. I'm partial to upgrading because I hate to chance losing
stuff that I really like.
