wow, that is impressive!

You are correct in that more and more people are becoming aware of
Ubuntu. There are several people at work who have migrated from Debian
to Ubuntu. It's funny the reaction I get when people walk over, pick
up the CD and inspect it, to then have me say "You can keep it". I
think the assumption is that since it's a professionally pressed CD
they'll have to return it.

Also, a cousin of mine asked for a CD and I happily gave him one,
fully expecting a phone call with questions. When that call never
came, I called him to find that he had taken the CD to work, only to
have the IT guy, wanting to give Linux a shot, borrow it to install on
his laptop. Apparently, he's enjoying Ubuntu very much; the feedback
was that it installed easily (we already know that, though :-) and is
running admirably on his older machine.
