Hello,

I'm having trouble getting the wlan chip (Broadcom BCM4306) of a
Compaq Presario X6000 laptop working.

Everything seems to be working when loading the windows driver
(bcmwl5.inf and bcmwl5.sys in the working directory) using
ndiswrapper.

# ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5.inf
Installing bcmwl5

# iwconfig wlan0

But when scanning for networks, I can't see any, although there are
several available:

# iwlist wlan0 scan
wlan0 No scan results

Just as if the wlan antenna was switched off. Any ideas how to debug
this? I'm using Ubuntu 5.04.

Oh, and happy New Year! Here in GMT+2 we're still at 2005.
