ubuntu-calendar backgrounds (was: DCC Alliance failure modes)

I still can't understand why the backgrounds were not continued,
why there's no further ubuntu-calendar-* for those who would like
to see them (don't tell me there weren't at least twelve photos in
the series...).
It's not like one has to install the packages if one doesn't
like seeing naked women. Why not have the best of both worlds?
