Did you try installing any other distro ? otherwise, just try cleaning
the lens of your CD drive.
It has to be done with soft cotton and alcohol, very gently with cotton
ear sticks.

See the picture juste before last.
It can also be done with a CD cleaner, but these need Windows or Wine
to execute lens.exe which is in there, and the result is good but does
not last so long.
Then if cleaning does not make it as it should, another idea could be
changing the cables with their connectors :) (Seldom out of service, but
can be).
