PCI TV Tuner cards

I am planning to get a pci tv tuner card just to see tv in my samsung 
Syncmaster 793df monitor. I dont want to devote a lot of money with a 
expensive TV turner card or external box so the card I have seen is a "InnoDV 
Smart TV LE TV Tuner / Remote". But I dont want to buy it unless I am sure it 
will work in my ubuntu-kde sistem. 

How can I be sure it will work properly with kdetv or TVtime?
