Hello all,

When I try to install Smarty (PHP template manager) in my Kubuntu
5.10, the package manager tries to uninstall libapache2-mod-php5 to
replace it with libapache2-mod-php4. This is the list of changes that
are about to happen when I try to install Smarty:

PACKAGE_______________STATUS__________ACTION
libapache2-mod-php4___not installed___install
libapache2-mod-php5___upgradable______remove
libzzip-0-12__________not installed___install
php4__________________not installed___install
php4-common___________not installed___install
php5-common___________upgradable______upgrade
php5-mysql____________upgradable______remove
smarty________________not installed___install

According to these messages
<http://www.codecomments.com/archive224-2004-9-279861.html>, Smarty
works perfectly with PHP5, so I see no reason to make it depend
exactly on PHP4.

According to the info in the smarty package, the maintainer is Dimitri
Fontaine (dfontaine at cvf.fr).
