Anders,

Ubuntu should just work.  In particular, we don't want to break
things when a new Ubuntu release comes out with dbus notification.
We don't want to have lots of people complaining that dbus
notification breaks Ubuntu.  We don't want to keep them waiting
while all the broken apps are fixed to handle dbus.

So please don't be modest.  Go ahead and do the research and post
the list of applications that need to be updated in order to
work with your dbus proposal.
