We have a similar setup at home too. A WinXP box for my wife and
children and a Kubuntu monster - Athlon64 x2 4200 with 4GB RAM - for me.
Slowly though my wife is gaining confidence and familiarity with the
Kubuntu machine, and my son, at the grand old age of three, loves
Edubuntu already on an old laptop. As an IT Consultant, I informally
look after the two PCs at my son's pre-school, I have installed Edubuntu
on one of them and it is gaining universal approval from pupils, parents
and staff alike!!! Great for Linux, get the children used to an
alternative to MS!!!
