Ubuntu PowerPC Live CD and eMac

Hi, a my friend has a 700Mhz G4 eMac. The problem is that X server
doesn't start, I see a blank monitor (blank as powered down). when I
go to console (CTRL+F1) the monitor turns on and I see console, but I
cannot see X. Maybe monitor frequencies are wrong? Which are them?

p.s. the video card is a Nvidia Geforce 400 (I think)
