Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.

The other possibility is to set JAVA_HOME in /etc/environment: so for
example my /etc/environment file looks like:

LANGUAGE="en_AU:en"
LANG=en_AU.UTF-8
JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/j2sdk1.5-sun/

In this case, it will be defined globally on your system.
