MC and rxvt

Well it's a long story but it doesn't involve rxvt but midnight
commander- I **had** an entry for breezy backports in my source liist
and apt upgraded m-c behind my back to the backported version which is
the one that was giving me trouble. Needless to say mc is now pinned to
the older OFFICIAL version which runs fine almost anywhere.

Thanks for help but it was the fact the backport ran fine in xterm
which set me off on the wrong track. Yet another reason to be carefull
enabling backports, even semi-official ones.

This whole scenario started with a huge error on my part which forced
me to re-install breezy. What a pain.
