breezy upgrade, Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.12-10-686 can't start X

No, didn't compile.

If you used the package manager is should work without any problems

After many hours of no X, last thing I did was reinstall the
nvidia-glx-legacy package and it works now.  Don't know why or how, but it
does and I'm leaving well enough alone.  :)
