breezy upgrade, Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.12-10-686 can't start X

Did you compile your own nvidia module or did you download it using the
package manager?



If you used the package manager is should work without any problems
(that's the advantage of using it).



If you compile your own using the NVIDIA*.run file from the NVidia
site,  you will have to re-run it every time you upgrade the kernel.



If you do not need the latest and greatest NVidia drivers,  I'd suggest
that you just do a search for nvidia in the package manager and install
it from their
