Making a Photo CD

I too would like a linux based photo cd creation programme .... one that
would make the resultant cd 'playable' in linux or windows and
especially if it woud allow selctive photo printing ....

Anyone any ideas on how one might go about this ... maybe a common set
of data on which the appropriate application in its own OS could be
used ???
