X question (Fatal Server error: no screens found)

My system has a dual boot with Windows XP and Ubuntu Hoary 5.04. If I
boot my system with WinXP, then the graphic card works fine. Only the
problem resides with X server under Ubuntu. Therefore I presume this
is not a contact issue between PCI graphic card and PCI slot in
Motherboard.

My guess is the X server is trying to find a device at the previous
location (e.g., PCI 0:8:0), but now the location has been changed. So
how do I change the X server so that it could search a device at a
different location?

However, in the mean time, I will try to re-set the PCI graphic card
to see if it works in other slots.
