Sounds like a codec problem.. have you followed the userguide
instructions for setting up MP3 playing?

You may need to manually mount this device.
When it says it's "transferring" is that on the screen of the player?
If so then all that means is that the device has detected that it's
plugged into a live USB socket, nothing more.
