Hi Dennis,

you may have found already that one of the other clues on this list
solved the problem.

To install ssh server do this

sudo apt-get install openssh-server

or use

synaptic

then use

ssh -C username at IP

use

top

and

ps auwx

to find out what is soaking up all your resources.
