Recent breezy kernels not booting

I also experienced that problem with the 2.6.12 kernel on my R4000. I
tried a compiling the kernel from kernel.org and got nothing but a
blank screen. I'm a newb so I figured it was something I did in my
configuration, but I experienced the same behavior after upgrading to
breezy.
PS-
I have been successful with getting everything except the ati drivers
working on 2.6.10, but it required compiling the kernel.
